Malte Zander (Germany)
(* 1991 in Germany) is an artist and filmmaker living and working in Berlin, Germany & Vienna, Austria.
He studied Fine Arts (Painting) in the class of Henning Bohl at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and did his Postgraduate Film studies at Le Fresnoy – Studio national des arts contemporains.
Combining computer-generated imagery with celluloid and canvas, he creates moving image as well as freeze-frame works.
His narrative environments are often times spatially and temporally constructed over the range of several exhibitions in reference to online image culture and cinematic storytelling.
His work has been shown at Kunsthalle Wien, La Casa Encendida, Kunsthal Charlottenborg, Plug In ICA, Galerie Francesca Pia, Zeller van Almsick, Exile Gallery, Gärtnergasse and City Galerie Wien, among others.
