About the partners
Malt AIR is a collaboration between Maltfabrikken, The Jutland Art Academy, and Art Hub Copenhagen.
Maltfabrikken
Malt AIR is based primarily at Maltfabrikken, a historic factory that has been transformed into a multidisciplinary cultural center in Ebeltoft, Denmark.
In addition to the residency facilities, visiting artists have access to Maltfabrikken’s wider professional and cultural offerings, including the city library, archive, co-working space, microbrewery, concert venue, project kitchen, and more.
The Jutland Art Academy
The Jutland Art Academy (Det Jyske Kunstakademi) gives the resident artist access to the professional art scene in Aarhus and hosts networking activities.
The Jutland Art Academy is a self-governing educational institution under the Danish Ministry of Culture, located in the South Harbour District of Aarhus. The academy offers a five-year programme of higher education in fine arts, comprising a three-year Basic Programme and a two-year Diploma Programme. In addition, the academy presents a range of exhibitions and public events such as artist talks and lectures on current topics.
Art Hub Copenhagen
Each residency includes a one-week stay in Copenhagen, coordinated and hosted by Art Hub Copenhagen (AHC). This visit focuses on network meetings, studio visits, and open exploration of the Danish capital’s visual art scene.
AHC is dedicated to facilitating and accelerating artistic development and knowledge production through residencies, research program, public events and partnerships.
AHC supports both emerging and established artists, curators and writers in developing and positioning their practice, research and professional network, thereby strengthening the contemporary art scene at large.

Danish Art Workshops (Statens Værksteder for Kunst)
is an international art institution and meeting place in Copenhagen aimed at supporting and promoting young, professional visual artists, broadening and qualifying public debates on artistic practice, and strengthening the voice of artists in society.

Huset for Kunst og Design
is an exhibition, communication, production, and knowledge center for new art and design. The house is an open and lively place that works for the meeting between professional artists/designers and the younger creatives in Holstebro.

is an artist resource center supporting visual artists in Denmark’s Central Jutland region.
